Welcome to the Sinai Freediving Cup !
Get ready for a one-of-a-kind, team-based AIDA pool competition right in the heart of Dahab, Egypt.
Over 3 action-packed days, 8 teams will dive into the event across three classic disciplines – DNF, STA and DYNB – plus we’re throwing one surprise challenge to keep the excitement high after the competition days
Expect friendly rivalry, serious team spirit, and a whole lot of fun… all leading up to an epic closing buffet – that is if you’re still breathing!

Rules and regulations
This is an AIDA-sanctioned event, so the AIDA International rules apply. This includes being in possession of a signed “medical certificate of non contraindications to freediving” (no older than 1 year) and be a member of the AIDA National corresponding to the athlete citizenship.
Each team consists of 4 athletes (3 main athletes + 1 substitute). All 4 athletes have to take part in, at least, 1 discipline.
Teams compete in all 3 pool disciplines (DNF, STA, DYNB), with 3 starts per team per discipline. Teams can decide whether they want to take part in the post-competition challenge that is scheduled on the last day.
Team competition rankings are team-based only : per discipline and overall. Performances are scored based on gender world records for fairness. A separate ranking will be for the special challenge, and is not related to the team ranking. Substitutes can jump in if someone’s lungs – or schedule – don’t cooperate.
Full rules will be communicated upon registration and will be shared on-site before the competition.

About the teams

For this second edition, we will feature up to 9 teams, representing freediving schools in Dahab. One team will be reserved to Egyptian nationals and solo freedivers, regardless of their school affiliation. Each year, a new theme will be featured.
This isn’t just about medals – it’s about building connections, sharing laughter, and holding your breath… together.

Entry fee (Team competition) : 300 € per team (DNF, STA, DYNB) – maximum 9 teams
Entry fee (Special Team challenge) : included in the team registration fee
Deadline to register : March, 2026
Please provide the full names of the participants as well as the email addresses used to create their AIDA profiles. It is also required to be in possession of a signed “medical certificate of non contraindications to freediving” (no older than 1 year) and to be a member of the AIDA National corresponding to your citizenship.
